  • E for environmental, because they worry about the direct or indirect effect their activity has on the environment: their emissions, the use of renewable energies, their effect on climate change and their commitment to combat resource depletion.
  • S for social, because they undertake a social responsibility with their employees, vendors, customers and the environment in which they operate, enforcing human rights, helping communities at risk of exclusion, facilitating access to health and taking into account the demographic risks of the area.
  • G for governance, because they commit to analyzing corporate governance decisions involving: the management team and its remuneration, political influence, business ethics, audits, fiscal transparency, zero tolerance of embezzlement, internal controls and shareholders' rights.

These are what are known as ESG criteria: Environmental, Social, Governance.
