First, complete your identification process to make your account operational: make sure you have sent all the documentation requested (a scanned copy of your NIF/NIE, etc.). The process can take from 10 to 12 days. Once you have completed the process, you will receive a Welcome email and SMS from the bank and your account will be operational for deposits and payments (e.g. transfers). You can track your debit card issue status from the "Cards" section.
- Go to BBVA.es
- Click on the Log in button and identify yourself.
- Go to the card section (just under the accounts section, on the home screen).
- You will see your card details:
- Active or pending activation.
- The status of your new card (Registered > In Progress > Sent).
- Mailing address.
