Financial Futures

Spanish regulatory standards define financial futures as term contracts on securities, loans or deposits, indices or other instruments of a financial nature that have a standardized nominal amount, object and maturity date and are traded and transferred on an organized market whose governing body registers and settles them, acting as a buyer before the selling member and as a seller before the buying member. In short, contracts whereby two parties undertake to carry out a sales transaction during a future term, establishing the amount, price and date of the transaction.
