The maximum purchase age depends on the payment method chosen: With periodic premiums (Repatriation, Basic, and Comprehensive options), there is no minimum age to take out the policy and the maximum age is 69. With a single premium (Basic or Comprehensive options), the minimum age to take out the policy is 60 and there is no maximum age.

What conditions must I meet to sign up?

The policyholder may also be a legal entity (CIF). For periodic premium payment options, you will need to answer a short health questionnaire with two questions. How many people can be insured?

With periodic premiums (paying in installments under the Repatriation, Basic, and Comprehensive options), there is no limit on the number of insured persons. With a single premium (paying in one lump sum under the Basic or Comprehensive options), only one insured person may be included per policy.

Are there any waiting periods?

With a single premium, there are no waiting periods. A waiting period is the time between the policy start date and when certain assistance services or cover can be requested. By contrast, with periodic premiums the following waiting periods apply (although none apply if death is caused by an accident): Funeral service: 20 days Full repatriation: 20 days Travel assistance: 20 days Repatriation: 6 months Estate administration (sub-coverage included in notarial open will and living will): 12 months

What steps must be taken in the event of death?

Family members must call 917 800 063, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. At that point, we will assign the family a support representative who will advise them throughout the provision of the service. You may freely choose the funeral home and funeral provider, as well as the other services included in the policy, up to the insured amount.

How can I get a quote for my funeral insurance and take it out with BBVA?

With periodic premiums, the insurance premium is paid on a regular basis (monthly or annually) for the duration of the policy.

Price: it increases gradually with age and stabilizes at 75.
