What fees does this home remodeling loan have?

The home remodeling loan has no commitment fee. If you decide to cancel all or part of your loan before the end of the term indicated in the application, you will have to pay a cancellation fee of 0.50% of the unpaid principal if fewer than 12 months remain to pay off the loan, or 1% if more than 12 months remain.

Do I have to be a BBVA customer to apply for this home remodeling loan?

No. The home remodeling loan is intended for people who do not currently have an account with BBVA.

How long will it take to receive the money in my account?

If you open a Fee-Free Online Account (or you already have one) and you direct debit the loan from it: you will receive it instantly once you sign the contract. If you direct debit the loan from an account outside BBVA: you will receive it within 72 hours after signing the contract.

Is the connection to my other bank secure?

If you choose the option to not send documentation, we will securely and anonymously connect with your other bank. To do this, you will enter your own login password, which will only be used to make this connection and determine if your loan is feasible. Once your loan is approved (or in 30 days if it is not), the details will be deleted.

How can I check the status of my application?

We will inform you promptly via email or, if you prefer, you will be able to check the status of your application by going into your private area (whether in the BBVA app or at bbva.es) with the username and password you chose during the application process.

What account do I have to open if I apply for the home remodeling loan?

You have to open a fee-free online account with an Ahora debit card, also with no fee.

How much can I request with the home remodeling loan?

From a minimum of €3,000 to a maximum of €20,000. If you need a smaller amount, request one of our credit cards.

How do I make the payments?

The payments will be charged to the bank of your choice on the last day of each month.

How many co-signers can my home remodeling loan have?

The Home Remodeling Loan can only have one applicant.

What if I miss a payment?

If this happens, you will be charged late payment interest. In addition, failure to make payments can lead to serious financial consequences (e.g., forced sale of assets) and difficulty obtaining other loans. BBVA recommends responsible financing.

Do you need more information?

Depending on the amount you request, and using prudential and responsible loan criteria, we may request the involvement of a public notary. Before signing the contract, we will send you the pre-contractual loan information (European Standardized Information Sheet, ESIS). If your loan is approved, after signing it you will have 14 calendar days to cancel the contract at no additional cost. The granting of a home remodeling loan is subject to approval by BBVA.
