How to save on your travels

At BBVA, you can avoid the usual fees when using your card outside Spain, even on weekends.

If you are over 30

The Pack Viajes Esencial is included. With it, you:

  • Can make payments in non-Euro currencies with no fees, up to a maximum of €300 per month.
  • Have total flexibility: If you need to withdraw cash or increase the payment limit, you can activate the plan that best suits you (Comfort, Superior, or Exclusive) and cancel it whenever you want, just like a subscription.

If you are under 30

The Pack Viajes Superior is included for free until you turn 30. With it, you can:

  • Make limitless payments in non-Euro currencies with no fees.
  • Withdraw cash from ATMs abroad up to three times a month (in any currency).

The same conditions apply in both cases:

When you use your card in shops or restaurants, choose the country's local currency on the POS terminal. When the payment is made, we will refund the currency exchange fee (this may not happen immediately).

When withdrawing cash, if the ATM asks you to apply the exchange rate, choose “No” so BBVA can do it. Once the transaction is complete, we will refund the currency exchange and withdrawal fees. The ATM may charge you other fees that do not depend on BBVA, meaning we cannot refund them.
