Find out how your carbon footprint is generated

Some of our everyday actions also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

Watching TV generates 35 kg of CO2 a year

What produces these emissions?

The electricity that the TV consumes when it is on is what generates the most emissions, but standby does too, producing up to 15 kg of carbon dioxide per year.

What can you do to reduce them?

Turn off the TV (and any other devices) when it is not being used and avoid leaving it on standby.

At BBVA, we have created the first personal carbon footprint calculator

If you are already a customer, discover how much carbon dioxide you generate with your gas, electricity and fuel consumption on the BBVA app's Sustainability Section.
