Are fees charged to the Antes pre-paid card at ATMs?

A fee will be charged for cash withdrawals on debit at ATMs in the following cases: ATMs of the BBVA GROUP in Spain : 0%. ATMs of banks other than the BBVA Group in Spain: when withdrawing cash in euros on debit by card at an ATM belonging to a bank other than the BBVA Group in Spain, BBVA will charge the same amount as the fee that the bank which owns the ATM charges BBVA. This amount will be provided by the bank that owns the ATM before the cash withdrawal. ATMs located outside Spain : 4.5% (minimum €3).

What happens if I use it outside the Eurozone?

BBVA will charge you a fee of 3% on the equivalent amount in euros for all transactions outside the Eurozone, based on the exchange rate applied by the payment systems on the date when the relevant charge is settled. Before withdrawing cash, the corresponding fees will always be displayed on the ATM screen.

Do I have to be a BBVA client?

Yes, to request an Antes pre-paid card , you need to be a BBVA customer, but you don't need to have an associated account.

It is the personal identification code for your card. Please note that: It is a secret and personal code that should not be disclosed to other people. It is advisable not to carry your PIN written down or together with the cards. You should avoid using your birthday, year of birth, or any other personal data as your PIN.

Is the Antes pre-paid card a contactless card?

Yes. This means you can make payments in stores that accept this payment method. Simply place your card over the POS terminal to pay. It's fast, convenient and safe.

How does it work?

Top up your Antes pre-paid card whenever you like at bbva.es, at any ATM or branch of the BBVA network, or by telephone (900 102 801).

Every top-up, with a minimum amount of €6 and a maximum amount of €1,000, is added to the pre-loaded money.

Use it until the available balance runs out.
