Partial return of money deposited into a BBVA ATM

Here's how to get a partial return of money deposited in a BBVA ATM.

We explain how to recover part of the money deposited into a BBVA ATM if you don't have the exact amount you need.

If you need to deposit money into a BBVA account at an ATM, but don't have the exact amount and need change, remember the “Return cash” feature.

You can deposit part of the cash inserted into the ATM or change the amount to be deposited (or increase the amount inserted initially).

Steps to follow to recover money inserted into a BBVA ATM

Follow the steps in this article to make cash deposits at an ATM. After inserting the money into the slot, the ATM will count the money.

  1. Once the count has been completed, two options will appear on the screen: “Deposit all” or “Return cash”. If you want to recover part of the money deposited (in cash or in your account), choose the “Return cash” option.
  2. Indicate the amount of the deposited money that you want to be returned. Choose from the following options:
    • In cash: The money will be returned in currency.
    • To account: Choose the destination account (you will see a list of the accounts you hold).

Steps to follow to deposit money into another amount

If you want to deposit an amount less than the cash inserted into the slot:

  1. Indicate the amount you want to deposit.
  2. You can choose the money to be returned in cash or paid into another account.

If you want to deposit an amount higher than the cash inserted into the slot:

  1. Deposit the inserted amount of cash.
  2. Insert more cash into the ATM slot.
