Creditor

A creditor is an individual or legal entity that has the right to demand compliance with a contracted obligation.

In a loan, the creditor (lender) is the person or entity that lends money to a third party (the borrower) in exchange for payment of interest. The borrower is required to repay the loan amount plus the agreed interest within a certain time period.
