How did Cyber Monday begin

Cyber Monday is a 'digital' event in which various e-commerce or online stores offer large discounts to consumers on many of their products. Initially, it was unique to technology brands, although over time it has branched out to other sectors. It originated in 2005 with the aim of incentivizing online purchases (at the time, there were some misgivings about making purchases online). Today, it's one of the most important days of the year for e-commerce (after Black Friday).

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday 2025 will take place on December 1, which is the first Monday after Black Friday. This keeps the tradition going, which hasn't changed since it was first celebrated in 2005.

On Cyber Monday, there are many offers and deals to be found in online stores and e-commerce platforms. Products of all types (from computers and mobiles to books and clothing) are reduced by up to 80% in some cases, making them much more affordable.
