Find out how your carbon footprint is generated

Some of our everyday actions also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

Traveling 1 km by bus generates 40 g of carbon dioxide

What produces these emissions?

Fuel consumption. Remember that the efficiency of a bus is nearly proportional to the number of people it carries. The calculation also takes into account the number of times the vehicle stops and starts, both the planned stops on the route, but also the stops caused by traffic.

What can you do to reduce them?

Public transport is more sustainable than private vehicles, and should be used wherever possible.

At BBVA, we have created the first personal carbon footprint calculator

If you are already a customer, discover how much carbon dioxide you generate with your gas, electricity and fuel consumption on the BBVA app's Sustainability Section.
