Find out how your carbon footprint is generated

Some of our everyday actions also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

Sleeping in a hotel generates 3 kg of carbon dioxide every night

What produces these emissions?

For example, lighting and climate control in rooms or washing towels and sheets.

What can you do to reduce them?

When possible, you can choose responsible accommodation options that, for example, opt to minimize single-use resources, incorporate sensors for lighting or avoid replacing the towels or sheets every day during stays lasting more than one night.

At BBVA, we have created the first personal carbon footprint calculator

If you are already a customer, discover how much carbon dioxide you generate with your gas, electricity and fuel consumption on the BBVA app's Sustainability Section.
