What are the requirements for taking out cyber attack insurance?

Be self-employed (NIF/NIE) or have an SME (CIF) . Invoice up to €25 million . E-commerce sales that do not exceed 1 million euros a year or, if they do, that do not account for more than 30% of the total annual turnover. Being in the market for more than 2 years . Computer systems located in Spanish national territory and with no data stored on servers outside the EU . Up to 150 computer devices in operation. Not have details stored on customer credit cards .

What is the territorial scope of the policy?

The insured party's computer system must be located within Spanish national territory . Cyber extortion claims will be covered when they fall under the jurisdiction of Spanish courts. The personal data protection coverage will refer to the applicable legislation in Spanish national territory in this area.

How long does the contract last?

The policy can be renewed annually. The policy will be tacitly renewed every year on the same effective date. It can only be cancelled by giving the company one month's notice before the policy expires.

What waiting periods does this insurance have?

The BBVA Allianz Cyber insurance policy does not have a waiting period.

Does this policy have a deductible?

Only the computer theft coverage has a deductible, whose amount is €3,000/claim.

What activities are not covered by the policy?

The following activities cannot be insured through this product: Financial services. Internet or application service provider (ISP or ASP). Critical infrastructures/basic services such as: water, electricity or telecommunications supply. Health. Defense. Gambling and betting. Air traffic. External consulting services. Call centers. Bill collection companies.
