What is a virtual IBAN and how does it work?
A virtual IBAN is a cash flow management solution that allows you to create a custom billing hierarchy for each department, store, project or client, without the need to open multiple bank accounts. It is based on an intelligent hierarchical structure that keeps information segregated automatically, without fragmenting liquidity:
- Main account: this is your BBVA corporate checking account, where funds are received and managed and where the company's liquidity is centralized.
- Virtual IBAN: it has the format of a standard IBAN*, Spanish or international, and is linked to the main account. It channels funds directly to this account, but generates a unique identifier (digital fingerprint) that facilitates automatic bank reconciliation and accounting, as well as identifying the origin of each payment.
