Cyber-simple: Cybersecurity against fraud

Don't worry: your account is not blocked. This is a prevention exercise

We would like to remind you that BBVA NEVER includes links or phone numbers in messages. We conducted this exercise to raise awareness of the risks of fraudulent messages, since the link could have taken you to a fake website to steal your data.

From now on, you’ll receive official BBVA messages in a new verified thread that includes the bank’s name and logo, so you can be sure they’re authentic.

Follow these tips if you receive a suspicious message

  • 1. If it has a link or number, it's not from BBVA

We never include links or telephone numbers in our SMS messages. If you get one, it's fake.

  • 2. Do not share your details

Do not share PINs, passwords, or download apps from SMS links.

  • 3. Count on us

If you have any questions, don't hand over the information and get in touch at Contact BBVA (900 102 801).

  • 4. Set up BBVA app notifications

View your account information in the BBVA secure environment. Don't be fooled by alarming SMS messages.
