New anti-squatting coverage now included in your insurance, at no additional cost

Now, all our home insurance policies include protection against illegal squatting on your property (1):

  • Legal advice and representation

    We advise you if your home is illegally occupied and cover the defense costs to recover your home in the face of illegal occupation or tenant squatting (2).

  • Financial assistance while the property is illegally occupied

    We will reimburse you for the costs of temporary accommodation, the loss of rent if it is a rental property, or the water, electricity and gas bills for the occupied property.

     

    We also cover civil liability for damages caused to third parties while the property is illegally occupied.

  • Economic protection after eviction

    We will pay for the damage caused to your home by the vandalism of illegal occupants, the cost of changing the locks, or the cleaning of the home after the eviction.

(1) All coverage is subject to the limits and conditions set out in the contractual documentation.

(2) Situation in which a tenant takes possession of the property after formalizing a rental agreement and subsequently stops paying the first or second monthly rent without leaving the property.
