- If a product you purchase online isn't perfect, we'll file a claim together. Because if you decide to pay for something, you should get it in good condition.
- You will know right away if anyone uses your card. Because we will send you a notification anytime it's used, and if you see something suspicious, you can disable it from the app.
And paying for everything will be much easier
And if you need to, you can finance your payments
There are two ways to do it:
- You can choose the term over which to repay the money with a personalized payment. This will be independent of the monthly transactions and, depending on the term, you may be charged a fee, with or without interest.
- You can choose the monthly payment of your card with deferred (revolving) payment. You will pay a fixed amount until you repay the deferred money with interest.

Are there any fees for ATM cash withdrawals?
-
At BBVA ATMs
Before the transaction, the ATM asks how to withdraw the money:
- If you choose debit, there is no fee, 0%.
- If you choose credit, there is a fee of 4% (€4 minimum).
Before you take out the money, the ATM will tell you the exact fee.
-
At ATMs of other banks
Before the transaction, the ATM asks how to withdraw the money:
- If you choose debit, there is a fee that is set by the other bank for using its ATM.
- If you choose credit, there are two fees: one is set by the other bank for using its ATM, and the other is for 4% (with a minimum of €4) for withdrawing on credit.
Before you take out the money, the ATM will tell you the exact fee.
-
At ATMs outside Spain
Before the transaction, the ATM asks how to withdraw the money:
- If you choose debit, there is a fee of 4.5% (€3 minimum).
- If you choose credit, there is a fee of 5% (€3 minimum).
How does the single payment with a credit card work?
-
1. You have a credit limitYou have a certain amount of credit available on your card depending on your credit limit.
-
2. Purchases during the month
Every time you use the card, you use up the available credit limit, not the balance in your account.
Keep in mind that you can make purchases with your card even if you don't have the money in the account at that time. So it's important to make sure that you have sufficient funds in the account when the bill is charged.
What if you go over your limit? You can go 20% over your limit with a fee of 3% (€6 minimum and €12 maximum) of the extra amount you use.
-
3. You pay at the end of the month
The settlement period starts on the 20th of the month and ends on the 20th of the following month.
On the 20th of each month, a bill is issued for the total of all the payments you made with your card during this period. If the 20th is not a business day, it will be issued on the preceding business day.
You can choose the bill charge date: the 21st of the settlement month or the 5th of the following month, and you can change it at any time.
Interest or fees for deferred payments
-
Personalized Payment
What is the interest on a deferred purchase or bill?
With the personalized payment, you can pay for any purchase made with the card or the monthly amount owed in installments, provided this amount is at least €50.
The monthly payments will be for a fixed amount (which includes principal and interest if it is a personalized payment with interest, or principal and fees if it is a personalized payment with fee) and will depend on the term you choose, from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 36 months. This amount will be charged to the account on the 5th of each month.
The first payment in both cases is different:
- For a personalized payment with interest, it only includes interest.
- For a personalized payment with fee, only the deferral fee is charged.
Once you take out the card, you can use both the BBVA app and bbva.es to calculate your monthly payment based on the repayment period you choose.
Example of personalized payment with interest:
Interest rate: 21.60% annually. Credit limit: €1,500.
- If you take out the Aqua Máxima Credit Card with a limit of €1,500 and that same day, for example, April 14, 2024, you make a purchase for the same amount, this is what you would have to pay if you choose to defer over 12 months:
- The first installment will be for €14.20. It will only include interest.
- The following 11 installments will be for €151.53 each.
- The total amount payable will be €1,681.03 and the APR will be 23.79%.
Example of personalized payment with fee:
Deferral fee: 0%, 4.3%, 5.2% or 6% of the amount financed, depending on the period chosen (3, 4, 5 or 6 months).
Interest rate: 0% annual. Credit limit of €1,500.
Below are some examples of personalized payment methods with a fee over 3 to 6 months. The NIR is 0% in all cases.
- If you take out the Aqua Máxima Credit Card with a limit of €1,500 and that same day, for example, April 14, 2024, you make a purchase for the same amount.
- If you choose to finance over 3 months:
- You will pay 500 euros a month for three months.
- The total amount payable will be €1,500 and the APR will be 0%.
- You will pay 500 euros a month for three months.
- If you choose to defer the payment over 4 months:
- The first payment will be for €64.50, which only includes the deferral fee, which is 4.3% of the amount financed.
- The following 4 installments will be for €375 each and include only principal.
- The total amount payable will be €1,564.50 and the APR will be 18.84%.

- If you choose to finance over 6 months:
- The first payment will be for €90, which only includes the deferral fee, which is 6% of the amount financed.

- If you choose to finance over 3 months:
This system applies only to each specific settlement for which it is requested.
-
Deferred payment
What interest do deferred revolving payments have?
With a deferred payment, you can pay a fixed amount of your card bill each month. This payment method charges interest.
Interest rate: 19.80%. Credit limit: €1,500.
- The monthly payment settlement date is the 20th of each month, but if you have chosen to pay the bill on the 5th and you opted for the deferred payment, you will have to pay interest from the settlement date until the payment date.
- The minimum monthly amount is €12, and you can choose any higher amount.
- The payment chosen is used to pay the interest and agreed expenses first, and then to repay the loan or the balance you draw down. Therefore, we recommend choosing an installment that allows you to repay the credit drawn down within a reasonable period of time.
Once you take out the card, you can use both the BBVA app and bbva.es to calculate the repayment period based on your chosen payment method, as well as the total interest payable, if any.
You can also use the Bank of Spain's card simulator to calculate the approximate total card payment or the final payment date, based on the expense and the payment method chosen.
Remember that you can change the payment method for your card whenever you want.
Example of deferred payment with fixed amount:
This example complies with the information requirements of Order EHA/1718/2010, which governs and controls the advertising of banking services and products, the conditions of which may not correspond to those of the contract.
If you make a purchase for €1,500 with a NIR of 19.80% and you choose to make a fixed monthly payment of €45.49, you would have to pay:
- 48 monthly payments of €45.49.
- The total amount payable will be €2,183.52 and the APR will be 22.02%.
IMPORTANT: With the settlement system of the Aqua Más credit card, it isn't always possible to repay the credit in 48 equal monthly installments because the minimum amount payable is 3% of the balance drawn. This means that every month, you will pay the higher of the following amounts:
- The selected payment, consisting of principal, interest and fees.
- Or 3% of the credit drawn before settlement, plus the interest and fees for the period.
If you get this card and on the same day, for example, April 14, 2024, you make a purchase for €1,500 and choose to make payments of €37 on the 5th of each month, the total amount payable over 48 months, assuming an NIR of 19.80%, would be €2,081.67. The APR will be 21.69%.
Remember that if you decide to pay the bill on the 5th of the month, you will have to pay interest from the settlement date until the payment date.
*Offer valid during current month.

To add one more layer of security, all Aqua Cards feature a dynamic CVV. This code is generated with every online purchase and is only valid for 5 minutes. This way, your money is even more protected against potential fraud or cyberattacks.
If you make a purchase in any online store and it doesn't arrive, is faulty or doesn't match the product ordered, BBVA will help you file a claim with the store up to 180 days after the purchase payment date.
